Meet Regina Basterrechea, MS, CNC, FNLP, Founder and CEO of Nutrition on a Mission. Regina is a certified functional nutrition and lifestyle practitioner with a Master's Degree in Cardiac Rehabilitation and a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Physiology.

Experience

With over 20 years of expertise in nutrition and wellness, Regina has worked for numerous physician practices providing individual and group health education. She most recently oversaw worksite wellness at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort and Spa. Prior to that, she was the nutritionist and educator of the JW's Biggest Loser Resort wellness retreat program.

Regina believes that creating wellness is a journey and that we can get better with age. Her goal is to help people listen to their bodies, bring back the joy and satisfaction of eating food without guilt, and lose fat without trying. Regina enjoys strength training at EnerGym, hiking, and spending time with friends and family in nature. She loves interesting food and likes to combine it with travel and adventure. The "W" Trek in Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia, Chile is on her bucket list.
